If your camera constantly voicing "Please check the SD card" on repeat, then it may be caused by a failed microSD card or a faulty unit. This message will occur when the camera has encountered an error when trying to access the micro SD card to save a video file or to apply new firmware. Please follow the steps below to help resolve or pinpoint the cause of the issue.
- The most common fix for this issue is to perform a format on the microSD card. Unsure on how to format?
- If the issue is still persisting this could indicate that the microSD card has failed, we would advise trying an alternate microSD card to be used with the unit.
*Please format the alternate microSD card into FAT32 to ensure it will work with the BlackVue units - If trialing a new microSD card does not correct the issue and the camera is still voicing this message, this could indicate that it has lost the capability of loop recording due to a hardware issue. Please lodge a ticket to our support staff detailing this so that further assistance can be provided.

- It is recommended to use BlackVue microSD cards only. If a 3rd party microSD card is to be used, then please ensure that it is at a minimum MLC quality, like the Samsung Pro Endurance. TLC microSD cards have shown to be unstable when used for prolonged periods.
