NOTE!
- You will need to supply your own internet access point for the camera to connect to (such as a pocket WiFi device available from a Telco company).
How to create an account on the BlackVue app
- Open the BlackVue app.
- Click the menu tab in the top left corner then select Create account.
- Fill in the fields with your email address and desired password (the password is case sensitive).
- Then agree to the terms & policies and press Create account.
- A confirmation email will be sent to your entered email address. Click the link to confirm and finalise the creation of your account.
- Open the app, click on the menu tab and select login and enter your account details.
How to register your BlackVue dash camera for the cloud
- In the BlackVue app select 'BlackVue Cloud' option up the top.
- Choose if you would like to receive push notifications from the BlackVue app (this will include event and parking mode detection alerts).
- Select 'Register new camera' option.
- Register the camera using on the following options.
QR Code: Press scan QR code and capture the QR code inside the designated area on your smartphone.
Manual Registration: Enter your camera's serial number and cloud code and press register (these fields are not case sensitive).
How to configure the Cloud hot-spot settings
- After registering your BlackVue dash camera you will need to setup the Cloud hot-spot in the dashcam's firmware settings. Unsure how to access the firmware settings?
- Once in the firmware settings, you will need to navigate to the cloud section and enter the hot-spot SSID and password details into the relevant fields (keep in mind that the SSID and password section are case sensitive).
- After entering the details save and close the settings and the let the camera reboot.
- Once this is complete and the settings have been correctly entered the camera will power up and voice "Cloud connected".
