There may be a time where you wish to set your camera back to its original settings. For whatever reason that may be, you need your camera's microSD card, and you need access to a computer.

Make sure you also have the PC Player installed. 

  1. Connect your microSD card to the computer.
  2. Open up the BlackVue PC Player
  3. Enter the settings section.
  4. You will have an option to go through 3/4 tabs.
  5. Select the "reset" option at the bottom, and scroll through each tab selecting reset each time.
  6. Once you have pressed reset inside all of the tabs, you can now press Save and Close.
  7. Take out the microSD card, and reinsert back into your camera.
  8. The next time the camera powers on, it will load in the "reset settings" you have just applied.
  9. To finalise things, once your camera is recording normally (indicated by the "BlackVue for your safe driving message"), you can then format your SD card so it will be as if your camera is as new!

Note: Simply applying new firmware to your camera will not reset the settings to factory. The DR750 and DR900 series copy over any settings applied to it when you upgrade or change firmware versions.
