NOTE!

  • If you have purchased your unit through a car dealership the Wi-Fi password has been set to 'blackvue' for your convenience.
  • If you have reset your password, please remove your camera from the bracket and use the password printed on the neck of the camera.
  • If the following steps below do not resolve the issue please lodge a ticket so our support staff can assist in getting the issue resolved.

If you have recently changed the password on your BlackVue unit, smart-phones can get a cache error which causes them to notify 'incorrect password' when you try to connect to your camera again. The most common fix for this issue is to delete the phones cached network info. This can be done by performing a "Forget The Network" on the BlackVue Wi-Fi network. After performing this you can then connect to the network and be prompted for the new password.

If you have forgotten the password for your unit we would advise performing a Wi-Fi reset this can be done by following the steps below.

  1. Power your BlackVue dash camera.

  2. Hold the WiFi button for 5 seconds or until you hear a beep.

  3. After the beep release and follow the units audio prompts.

  4. After the reset has been complete you will be able to use the default password printed on the neck of your camera.
